Crews Commence River Search

OLD LYME, Conn. (AP) _ Rescue workers are searching for a man who fell from a boat while fishing with at mouth of the Connecticut River.

WFSB-TV reports the 58-year-old man is a father of 10 from Western Massachusetts, who frequently fishes in the area near Griswold Point. His name has not been released.

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says the man was with three people when he went overboard at about 8 p.m. Sunday.

State conservation officers, the Coast Guard, and local fire departments all were assisting in the search Sunday, which was suspended after the sun went down.

The three other people on the boat were brought to shore by emergency crews and were unharmed.
