One Patron Injured In Norwalk Gambling Bust

A half a dozen managers and card dealers were arrested in an illegal gambling bust in Norwalk.

Police say two dozen people were playing Texas Hold Em when officers showed up.

One of the gamblers allegedly got up, ran through the money room, and jumped out a window — From the third floor.  He was critically injured.

The rest of the patrons were identified by investigators, and released without being arrested.

Police say they conducted a lengthy investigation into the Royal Poker Room, which was located in a fortified area of a building on East Avenue.

Despite electronic surveillance and a locked door, undercover officers were able to get into the poker room.

The house was allegedly taking some of the money bet, which would make the gambling illegal.
