Health Exchange Seminars Set

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Connecticut’s health care exchange is hosting several seminars to help educate certified public accountants about the Affordable Care Act.

The exchange, known as Access Health CT, announced this week it will hold seminars next month in North Haven, Norwalk, Groton and Meriden.

The meetings will cover the basics of the federal Affordable Care Act as well as the exchange, which opens in October and will allow consumers and small employers to compare and enroll in health insurance plans.

The seminars will be run in conjunction with Robert Noonan & Associates, a legal resources and human services consulting firm. CPAs who attend will learn how they can increase their business by helping to enroll individuals and businesses for health insurance.
