Drugs, Guns Seized In Multi-Town Drug Crackdown

Hartford police say they seized drugs and weapons in a multi-town crackdown on a heroin and crack cocaine distribution ring operating in the Hartford area.  Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives;  the Internal Revenue Service, federal marshals, East Hartford police and West Hartford police joined Hartford police in “Operation Sham-Roc.”

Police seized 210 grams of crack cocaine, 200 bags of heroin, cash, weapons, body armor and a BMW.

Among the firearms seized were a sawed-off shotgun, two .357 Magnum revolvers,  a 9 mm Ruger hadgun and a 1911 .45 caliber handgun.

Police say the investigation is continuing, and asked anyone with information to contact Hartford Crime Stoppers at (860) 722-TIPS.
