Cold Case Murder Suspect Arrested, Also Charged With Seven Attempted Murders

The suspect in the murder described on the eight of clubs in the second deck of “cold case” playing cards produced through a joint project of the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office and the Department of Correction has been arrested on charges in 2007 homicide and seven attempted murders in 2007 and 2008.

Cold case 8 clubsThe Chief State’s attorney’s office says 27-year-old Donald “Amen” Raynor of Hartford faces a total of 45 counts, including the murder and murder conspiracy charges and weapons counts.  He is charged in the “cold case” murder of 22-year-old Delano Gray on Enfield Street in Hartford.  His bond totals more than $18 million.

Raynor’s arrest came as part of the warrant sweep dubbed “Operation Sham-Roc.”  Warrants in the ongoing investigation have been sealed.  So far 47 people have been arrested.
