Former North Windham Man Faces Child Pornography Sentence
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) _ A Connecticut man is facing sentencing for producing and distributing child pornography.
Heath Trahan, formerly of North Windham, is scheduled to be sentencing Wednesday in U.S. District Court in New Haven. He pleaded last year.
Prosecutors say Trahan was arrested in 2011 after investigators determined he had emailed images of child pornography to an individual in New Jersey. Authorities say investigators seized a mobile phone he used to take photographs of two children engaging in sexually explicit conduct and several computers that had about 500 images and 60 videos of child pornography, which had not been produced by Trahan.
Trahan faces a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 15 years for producing child pornography and at least five years for distributing child pornography.
