NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) _ Caroline Wozniacki has agreed to return to Yale this summer to play in the New Haven Open.
Wozniacki has had great success at the Connecticut stop on the WTA Tour where she is a four-time champion.
She bowed out in the semifinals last year while trying to win a fifth straight title, retiring from her sermifinal match with Maria Kirilenko after suffering a knee injury.
Wozniack is currently ranked No. 10 in the world. She joined a field Thursday for the Aug. 16 tournament that also includes Sara Errani, Angelique Kerber, Marion Bartoli and defending champion Petra Kvitova.
