Shots Fired Outside Milford Motel

MILFORD, Conn. (AP) — Milford police are investigating a report of gunshots fired outside a motel off Route 1.

Officer Jeffrey Nielsen says witnesses reported shots fired Thursday in the parking lot of the Howard Johnson motel during what appeared to be a dispute between two people. He says he has no information on injuries.

Police say a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident sped away and was chased by Milford officers.

Authorities have secured the area around the motel and are investigating.
