Woodbury Crash Claims Lives

Two young adults are dead after a fiery car crash in Woodbury late Tuesday evening.

State Police spokesman Lieutenant Paul Vance says the car’s two occupants, 19-year-old driver Nicholas Aleia of Bethlehem and 21-year-old passenger David Metcalf of Woodbury, were pronounced dead at the scene.

State police, EMS services, and firefighters were sent to the scene on Route 317 (Goodhill Road) after receiving a call around 10:30pm reporting a single car crash. Officials arrived to find a car in roadside ditch, fully engulfed in flames.

Police closed Route 317 for more than six hours as they investigated the area. Vance says the investigation into the cause of the crash is remains ongoing at this time.
