Once again, the state Department of Motor Vehicles is conducting a three-day truck safety enforcement campaign.
Commercial Division Enforcement officers and state troopers will use the 72 hour blitz to raise awareness, as well as educate drivers and companies about safety requirements.
DMV Commissioner Melody Currey says those violating Connecticut highway laws could face fines or out-of-service orders.
Some of the things they’ll be on the lookout for: proper tires, safely functioning brakes, working lights, properly completed log books and proper size and weight requirements, among other things.
The enforcement runs through Thursday along Interstates 91, 95, 84, 395, and some local roads.
