AmeriCares Help Arrives in Oklahoma

Medical aid and relief supplies  from Stamford -based AmeriCares  are now arriving in Oklahoma to help survivors  of the devastating tornado  witch tore through the Oklahoma City suburbs Monday.

Medicine, water and  urgently needed relief supplies   were delivered in the first 48 hours after the storm.The AmeriCares disaster response team is on the ground in the tornado -ravaged area.

Aid deliveries  include,Tetanus vaccines to protect residents  and first responders digging through  the rubble.Insulin and  medicines  for Medcare  United Charitable Pharmacy at Oklahoma University Hospital in Oklahoma City, which fills prescriptions for low-income and uninsured patients.Wound care  supplies, emergency  kits and flashlights  for Crossings Community Clinic in  Oklahoma City and bottled water for food banks  serving as aid  distribution centers.
