Remains Confirmed As Missing Student

Remains found Friday morning in a wooded area near the Bridgeport=Trumbull line have been confirmed to be those of a missing Eastern Connecticut State University student.

The State Police Forensic Lab determined that the remains are those of Alyssiah Wiley.  She had been the subject of extensive searches since she was last seen a month ago.

The Chief State Medical Examiner’s Office will determine cause and manner of death.
