Police Seek Owner Of Jewelry Found Along I-84

Connecticut State Police are looking for the owner of jewelry found along the wood line off  Interstate 84, somewhere between Vernon and Union.

Troopers from Troop C in Tolland found the items, including numerous gold necklaces, rings and bracelets.

Police say the items “appear to be of substantial value.”  They were found Sunday.

Investigators say the jewelery was found in identifiable containers, although they did not describe the containers.

Police say anyone who had such items stolen, who can provide proof and identify the items is asked to contact Troop C in Tolland at (860) 896-3222,  extension 8040.
