A wandering moose created  a stir in Farmington Thursday  morning.  Officials at the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection say a resident spotted the animal walking along Town Tarm Road at about 11 a.m.

It then walked back into nearby woods.  A DEEP spokesman says the main concern is that the moose could be hit by traffic on the nearby interstate 84.

100 to 150 moose are believed to be living in the state.
