Threat At Yale Prompts Increased Security, Warning To Synagogues

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) _ Police have notified New Haven area synagogues and Jewish organizations of a threat found scribbled on the wall of a bathroom at Yale.

The New Haven Register reports  the graffiti threatened arson at Yale’s Slifka Center and mentioned the date of May 16. It was found April 22 in a bathroom at the Sterling Chemistry Lab.

May 16 is the second day of Shavuot, a Jewish holiday.

Yale says it has increased security at the Slifka Center in response to the threat.

Tuesday was the last day of finals for Yale students.
