Southington Police Name Suspect In Fatal Hit-Run

Southington police have a warrant for a driver suspected of hitting three women walking along Queen Street in February, injuring all three — one fatally.   Police say 46-year-old Edward Fascendini of Plainville is already in custody on other charges and will be presented in court next week on charges of misconduct with a motor vehicle and three counts of evading responsibility

22-year-old Joanne Chen died of her injuries after she and two other waitresses at a nearby restaurant were walking home after work.

Police say security cameras in the area,  and traffic checkpoints along that stretch of road on subsequent days helped police identify Fascendini as their suspect.
