School Choir To Sing With Rock Group

MASHANTUCKET, Conn. (AP) _ Members of Stonington High School’s choir will get a little taste of what it’s like to be juke box hero.

The choir has won a contest to sing with the rock band Foreigner on Sunday during the band’s concert at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

The choir submitted a video to an online contest.  It was chosen as a finalist along with choirs from Mercy High School in Middletown and Burncoat High School in Worcester, Mass.  All three performed on WFSB-TV’s “Better Connecticut” show and the public voted for the winner.

The choir will sing with Mick Jones and the band when they perform the power ballad “I Want To Know What Love Is.”
