Search Committee Selects New Regents President

The search committee named by Connecticut’s Board of Regents for Higher Education has recommended the Chancellor of California’s Riverside Community College District as the next president of the Board.

Dr. Gregory Gray currently supervises a system of three community colleges with more than two-thousand employees and an annual enrollment of more than 100-thousand for-credit students.

The Board will formally vote on the recommendation of Dr. Gray and the terms of his contract in two weeks.

If approved for a three-year contract by the Board of Regents at their May 16 meeting, Dr. Gray will receive an annual salary of $380,000,  use of a state vehicle, the standard package of state employee benefits and a $25,000 moving allowance.
