A mother bear and one cub were released back into woods in Farmington this week after a second cub was shot by a resident of Bonnie Lane and had to be put down.
Wildlife officers say the resident will not be charged, because he was protecting his dog. The bear was euthanized after being injured when it was shot it with what’s described as a b-b gun or a pellet gun
The three bears had been spotted in the area in recent days.
The bears had been seen in the Farmington area since early Monday morning. Click Here to see photos, and watch a short video below, as the trio wandered the driveway of a CBS Connecticut employee.
