Bus Driver Turns In Student Throwing Live Ammunition

NEW MILFORD, Conn. (AP) _ A student in New Milford is accused of bringing live ammunition onto an elementary school bus.

Police tell the News-Times of Danbury  the student, whose age and gender have not been released, was caught by a bus driver throwing the bullets while riding on the bus Wednesday afternoon.

The driver pulled the bus into an elementary school parking lot, where the school’s resource officer boarded and removed the child.

Nobody was injured.

Police say its Youth Investigation Division is looking into the incident, but did not say if the student or anyone else would face charges.
