New Haven Accident Victim Dies

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) _ A 29-year-old woman has died from injuries she suffered in a two-car accident in New Haven that seriously injured three other people.

New Haven police say city resident Carolina Chicas-Sabatino was in a coma after Friday night’s crash and died Saturday at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Authorities say Chicas-Sabatino was driving one of the vehicles and three people in the other car suffered serious injuries that aren’t life-threatening.

The vehicles collided shortly after 9:30 p.m. at the corner of Ella Grasso Boulevard and Goffe Street.

One of the cars broke a utility pole and several dozen homes lost power while the pole was replaced.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
