Middletown Man Accused Of Swiping Nail Polish

A Middletown man is facing charges after police say he stole over 100 bottles of nail polish from a CVS store in town.

Forty-two-year-old Marco Gonzales is charged.

Police said they were called Thursday evening to the CVS on Washington Street on a report of a shoplifiting in progress.

They say the store’s loss prevention officer spotted Gonzales stuffing bottles of nail polish into his sweatshirt, which was tucked in his pants.

The dollar amount of the nail polish was estimated to be nearly $900.

Gonzales faces charges of fifth-degree larceny.

He is free on $10,000 bond and is due in court May 1.
