The Boston Red Sox have tweeted that tonight’s home game against the Kansas City Royals at has been postponed “to support efforts of law enforcement officers.
The Red Sox finished their Patriots Day game not long before the bombs went off; tonight would have been their first home game since the blasts, and the Red Sox website predicts an emotional homecoming.
In the National Hockey League, the Bruins also tweeted they are postponing their game. It is tentatively scheduled to be played Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The Bruins website said the team is taking its direction from state and local officials. The team also cancelled its morning skate.
The Boston Symphony Orchestra postponed Friday’s concert until 1:30m p.m. next Friday, April 26.
