Bristol Police made an arrest today, in a deadly attack while playing basketball.

Last May, Jesus Vega was punched in the head while playing basketball at Brackett Park in Bristol.

Police say it was an unprovoked attack.

Vega was knocked out, and he died at the hospital about a week later.

Police say the 18-year-old was attacked by Johnnie Vail.

Vail has now charged with manslaughter.

The 23-year-old was already being held at the Cheshire Correctional Institution, on separate charges.

Last month, Vail was sentenced to jail time in a Bristol burglary case.

Vega’s organs were donated after he died.

His family suspected that his heart went to Cheshire blogger Colby Salerno, who achieved fame for writing about his experiences waiting for a transplant.
