State police have released the name of the suspect killed in a crash and shootout involving a trooper on Monday.

Twenty-four-year-old Jonathan Alvarado was from Deep River.  Authorities say he and another suspect committed an armed robbery in Old Saybrook.  In fleeing, the suspect vehicle crashed into state police Detective Scott Wisner in Westbrook.  Shots were exchanged afterward.
