Plainfield Man Hospitalized After Motorcycle Vs. Car Accident

Plainfield Police responded to an accident with injuries at the intersection of Norwich Road and Lathrop Road just after 9pm Saturday involving a motorcycle and car.

When officers arrived on scene, the operator of the 2008 Honda CBS 1000 motorcycle was lying in the middle of the northbound travel lane, alert and conscious. Authorities say Stanley Paplasky, 26, of Plainfield was not wearing a helmet at the time and was transported to William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich for the injuries he sustained.

The driver of the car, Anthony Madison, 53, of Norwich told officers that he had a green arrow and began making a left turn onto Lathrop Road when he felt something strike his vehicle. Madison then stopped and saw both the motorcycle and Paplasky in the road.

The accident remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call Plainfield Police at (860)564-0804.
