Somers Skunk Tests Positive For Rabies

Authorities in Somers are reminding residents not to approach or handle any wildlife,  and to teach their children not to do so,  after a report that a skunk had tested positive for rabies.  Earlier this week, Somers animal control received a report of a dog that had come in contact with the skunk in the area of George Wood Road and Four Bridges Road.

The agency reminds residents that state law requires that pets be vaccinated.
