Trinity College President To Step Down

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Trinity College has announced that the school’s president will be stepping down in 2015.

James F. Jones Jr. has been president of the liberal arts college in Hartford since 2004. He also has served as a humanities professor.

A college spokeswoman said Wednesday it’s been known on campus for some time that Jones will retire in June 2015 but it was not formally announced before it was mentioned in a news release this week on a new dean of the faculty.

Jones, a native of Atlanta, served as president of Kalamazoo College in Michigan for eight years before beginning the position at Trinity.
