Miss Porter’s Teacher Charged With Sexually Assaulting Student

A teacher from Miss Porter’s School in Farmington has been charged with having sexual contact with a student.

Joseph Rajkumar is charged with two counts of second degree sexual assault, and one count of fourth degree sexual assault.

Farmington police released no information beyond the basics of his arrest.  (Farmington Police Arrest Log March 27 2013) They say the investigation is ongoing.

According to the Miss Porter’s web site and a school publication, Rajkumar is a physics teacher.

Rajkumar was charged under sections of the law that specifically prohibit sexual contact between a school employee and a student at a school where the teacher works.
