HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) — Police have arrested a 13-year-old New Haven boy accused of driving a stolen car.
Hamden and New Haven police pursued the vehicle through Hamden on Sunday before the driver and another occupant fled on foot. A police dog then caught the driver, but the second individual was not found.
The 13-year-old is charged with third degree larceny, interfering with a police officer, reckless driving, engaging an officer in pursuit and operating without a license.
Authorities say the stolen car had been used in crimes committed around Hamden.
The unnamed minor is scheduled to appear in New Haven Juvenile Court, and was released to his mother’s custody.
