Man Sentenced In East Hampton Ecstasy Death

A judge issued a sentence Tuesday in the overdose death of a teenage girl from East Hampton.

According to the clerk’s office, a judge at Middlesex Superior Court ordered Jason Nedobity to serve four years behind bars.

He was accused of giving the drug ecstasy to a 16-year-old East Hampton girl, then fleeing the state for a decade.

The incident took place after a party in 2002.

Young Makayla Korpinen vomited, and had seizures with convulsions. She spent several days in a coma before dying.

Her death was considered the first in Connecticut caused by Ecstasy.
