Hartford Has First Homicide Of 2013

On March 16, 2013 at approximately 1:44 p.m., officers from the Hartford Police Department were dispatched to 76 Main St. on a report of an untimely death. The HPD Major Crimes Division was called to assume the investigation. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed the death of resident Sawarie Krichindath, 59, as a homicide from multiple stab wounds, the city’s first of the year.

During the morning of Sunday March 17, 2013 Homicide detectives focused their investigation on the boyfriend of the victim, Robert White, 52, of Hartford. Late Sunday night, HPD Major Crimes Division homicide detectives obtained an arrest warrant for White charging him with murder. White has been taken into custody without incident and charged. His bond has been set at $1,000,000.
