The finance committee of the Board of Regents for Higher Education has approved a tuition hike for state universities and community colleges.
Tuition for in-state commuter students at the state universities and community colleges will jump between 5.1% and 5.25%. In-state residential tuition for students at the state universities will increase 4.1 %.
The increases need approval of the full board, which is scheduled to meet March 21.
