Police Probe Theft Of ATM Machine

In Glastonbury, police are investigating the theft of an entire ATM machine from a TD Bank on Hebron Avenue in town.

They say an alarm went off just before one p.m. on Sunday.

Officers found the machine had been stolen.  In addition, detectives say there’d been a report of a dump truck stolen from a town business and a payloader from a construction site near the bank.

The ATM was removed using the dump truck.  Police say the thieves left the payloader behind.

On Monday, the ATM was found partially buried in the Hartford landfill.

An undetermined amount of cash was missing.  Investigators say two excavators were used to smash open the machine.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Glastonbury police at 860-633-8301.
