Hartford’s 2013 St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 9, starting at 11:00 a.m. from Capitol Avenue near the State Capitol.
Marchers will head down Capitol Avenue, left on Main Street. north on Main to Asylum, left on Asylum, west on Asylum to Ford, left on Ford, and ending by the Memorial Arch.
The Central Connecticut Celtic Cultural Committee, sponsor of the parade, and the Irish American Home Society will lead off the parade.
The parade will be held rain or shine.
New Haven holds its annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 10. The parade is scheduled to step off from Derby Avenue and Church Street, down Church Street to Grove, and down Grove Street to Orange, ending on Orange Street. The route is about a mile and a half long, and is expected to take about three hours.
Streets in the area will close beginning at 6 a.m.
