Driver Arrested In “Road Rage” Incident With Gun

Westport Police say a 21-year-old man  pointed a  handgun at another driver in an apparent case of “road rage” on Thursday.  Police say the driver flashed his high beams at the suspect when he cut him off on  Post Road East near the Bulkley Avenue intersection.,  The suspect then jumped out of his vehicle and pointed the weapon at the other driver,

The other driver got the license number of the car,  which was registered in Trumbull. Since the car was headed toward Fairfield, Fairfield Police were notified.  They located the vehicle in their town,  and when Westport officers arrived,  the suspect was found to be carrying a black Glock 9 mm semi-automatic hand gun was located.

Police charged 21-year-old Tyler Keiser with threatening,  reckless endangerment and breach of peace.  His weapon was seized as evidence.
Police say they determined that the firearm is registered to Keiser and that he as a permit to carry it.
