An armed man has been taken into police custody without incident after barricading himself inside a house in Bozrah and engaging in an hours-long standoff with state poilice.

Authorities say the standoff began just before 9 p.m. Wednesday and a state police SWAT team had been called to the house Wednesday night.

Some local streets were blocked off and homes evacuated.
