The Bridgeport City Hall Annex has been evacuated due to a suspicious package.

Police spokesman Bill Kaempffer says the package was discovered around 11 o’clock.

Broad Street has been closed.  The annex is located at 999 Broad Street.

Police and fire department personnel are at the scene.  The state police bomb squad has also been called in to investigate.
