The search for two missing children and their grandmother Tuesday night has taken a tragic turn.

State police say just after 9:30 last night, they discovered the bodies of six-month-old Ashton Perry, his two-year-old brother Alton, and their 47-year-old grandmother Debra
Dennison.  The three were found shot to death in a car in Preston.

The children were the subject of an Amber Alert after police say Dennison picked them up from their North Stonington day care and could not be located.

Lieutenant Paul Vance said they located a suicide note and a revolver was found at the scene.

Vance said Dennison did have permission to pick up the children.  The investigation is ongoing.
