Keyett McDonald, 35 of Norwich, who took her 4-year-old son from his legal guardian’s home Feb. 13 and drove him to Maine was charged with kidnapping, burglary and risk of injury to a minor Tuesday.

A Silver Alert was issued looking for the boy, who was not harmed. Both were found less than 24 hours later.

McDonald was arrested Tuesday at 11 a.m. She’s held on $75,000 bail and is scheduled for arraignment today.
