A Connecticut State Police trooper suffered minor injuries in a traffic crash in Norfolk this morning.

State Police say Trooper Robert Hazen was driving his cruiser on Route 44, when the rear part of a tractor trailer going the opposite direction crossed the double yellow lines, and collided with the oncoming cruiser.

Hazen had pain in his chest, neck, and back.

Investigators say the road was wet and slippery, and the truck was traveling around a curve.

The driver of the truck was not injured.  Jason Miller of New Haven was charged with driving too fast for conditions, and failing to stay in his lane.
