Man Rescued From Train Tracks

A man was rescued from Metro-North tracks in New Haven today, at about 8 am.

Metro-North spokesperson Marjorie Anders says the man had a broken leg.

“A homeless man, who apparently had been sleeping on top of the abutment underneath the Cedar Street Bridge, rolled over and apparently fell about 25 feet down to the tracks,” Anders said.

Metro-North service remained on time, because the track was a line that went to a rail yard, not the main Metro North track.
