Gunfire At Empty Hotel Room

Shots were fired at an empty motel room in Windsor last night.

Police say the incident took place at the Flamingo Inn between 8 and 9 pm.

The bullets and bullet holes were discovered by the person who rents the room, when that person returned after midnight.

Police say they are not sure why the shots were fired.

Bullet holes were found in the glass of the windows, and bullets went into a wall of the unit on Windsor Avenue.

The Flamingo Inn has changed its names several times over the years. It houses many long-term, low income residents.

The hotel is near I-91, and the Hartford city line.  Keney Park is nearby.
