Cape Cod Tanning Salon Accused Of Recording Customers In Changing Room

BARNSTABLE, Mass. (AP) — A Mashpee man has been charged with secretly recording customers at the Barnstable tanning salon where he worked.

Police say they arrested 47-year-old Luis Macedo on Sunday after woman tanning at Sunsational Tanning in Hyannis noticed a camera lens beneath her feet while she was in a booth at the salon.

Police set up surveillance, which helped them identify Macedo as he positioned his cellphone in a changing room, where officers also found a concealed peephole.

Police say they recovered more than 20 videos from Macedo’s cellphone.

He was charged with two counts of secretly video recording or photographing nudity.

Macedo could not be reached.
