Knife Held To Clerk’s Throat In Holdup

State police are looking for two men who held up the Xtra-Mart on Route 190 in Somers Tuesday overnight.  Police say one of the men held a knife at the clerk’s throat and when the clerk said he did not know the combination to the safe,  ordered him to open the cash register while the other man served as a lookout.

He grabbed cash and the two fled on foot,  heading north.

Police say the suspect with the knife was wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt and white sneakers.  The other man wore jeans, a dark coat,  and a red plaid hat.    They released a security camera photo from the scene,  and asked that anyone with information call state police at (860) 896-3200.
