A man surrendered to Wilton Police Wednesday morning after threatening to harm himself inside his home with his AR-15 assault rifle.
The neighborhood around the Hulda Hill Road home was evacuated for some time while the situation was being handled.
The man sent a friend a photo of him with the rifle, medication and what appeared to be a hand-written will, report police.
Police say the man was taken for treatment.
