Truck Driver Charged In Death Of DOT Worker

A Wisconsin woman has been charged in an accident last year in which a Department of Transportation employee working on Route 8  was killed.

21-year-DOT veteran Daniel Dinardi of Rocky Hill died when he was struck by a tractor-trailer near exit 29 in Waterbury.  Authorities said he had pulled his DOT truck onto the shoulder and got out. (See story.)

State Police say 48-year-old Gina Davies of Janesville, Wisconsin,  is charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle, failure to drive in the proper lane and with volating the hours of service for tractor-trailer truck drivers.
