After a budget year in which they already had to deal with Hurricane Sandy, Connecticut’s small towns are looking at how they’ll pay for blizzard cleanup. Betsy Gara with the Council of Small Towns tells WTIC’s Ray Dunaway that it could be a “budget buster.”
She says president’s emergency declaration means towns will be able to receive 75 % federal reimbursement for personnel and equipment costs, but the remaining costs are still mounting.
