Clinton Couple Takes Domestic Argument To Police Department; Both Arrested

Clinton police say a husband and wife were both arrested in a domestic disturbance that they brought to the Police Department.  Their eight-year-old child,  who was with them, was put in the care of a family friend and the Department of Children and Families is investigating.

Police say 54-year-old Brian Whaples and 45-year-old Claudette Whaples had been involved in a physical dispute while driving,   with each claiming to have been struck in the head by the other.

Police say both appeared to beintoxicatedm  and both were charged with risk of injury to a minor and breach of peace.  Brian Whaples also was charged with drunk driving.
