Bridgeport fire officials have determined the cause of an explosion this afternoon in a home in the city today.

They says a gas leak led to the small blast in a furnace at 494 Amsterdam Avenue.

The gas company responded.  No injuries were reported.

There’s no word as to the extent of any damage the house may have sustained.
